Tvyks remains fresh-faced both in terms of his looks and musical outlook ever since the early 90’s when he became a fixture on the burgeoning Czech dance music scene. One of the most active music figures in the Czech Republic, Tvyks has done it all: DJing in the best clubs, running his own successful club night, presenting his radio show and producing tracks with the likes of Hakan Lidbo for Paperecordings.
Digging from multiple sources he selects the ultimate sounds picking the best among trends as well as classics in order to provide the audience with fresh and sharp mixes. His inspiration varies from house to electro, via bassline and techno, grime and baile funk leading to a powerful head-banging-feet-thumping melange. No wonder his dexterous DJing skills and music selection has led him to the world’s top clubs in London, Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam. Tvyks was voted best Czech DJ in 2007.
Not content with only spinning the wheels of steel, Tvyks also embraced the world of music production. His collaboration with the Swedish producer Hakan Lidbo resulted in a 12 inch entitled “Norr/Vychod that was released in spring 2002 by the respected house label Paperecordings. Tvyks also collaborated with the Czech singer and musician Gregory Finn. Their Reply! project led to a single “How Much Is The Milk?”. What is more, Tvyks has several remixes for the likes of James Blake, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Zombie Nation, Cassius, Digitalism, Riva Starr, Z-Kat, Dance Area, Ku Bo, The Uniques, Kazety, Love Motel or Dead Kids under his belt. He continues to concentrate on his own music productions as well.
Aside from music production, DJing and club promoting, Tvyks has also stirred the waves within local media as a music programmer on the cult TV shows Puls and Paskvil that were shown on Czech state television, as well as a popular radio host on the leading radio station Radio 1 presenting his own radio shows French Connection (2000-2007) and, as of recent, Vibrator.
In 2005 to present he co-founded highly successful club nights in Prague – Vibrator, Muffin, Muffin!, Plastique and Boom Bang Baby! that injecting Prague nightlife with a much needed dose of joie de vivre. The nights played host to Europe’s hottest DJ’s and acts such as Zinc, Ramadanman / Pearson Sounds, Seiji, Melé, Sam Tiba, Zombie Nation, Drop The Lime, Boy 8-Bit, Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, D.I.M., Mixhell, Headman, Rex The Dog, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Adam Sky, Huoratron, Bunny Lake, Naive New Beaters, Vicarious Bliss, Jo Jo De Freq, Franz & Shape or Namosh.
In the present day is his hometown multicultural Berlin. Since his move in spring 2009 he prepared a program of Kiss Me! I’m Electric nights at Magnet club, where you could discover names such as Proxy, Toddla T, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Schlachthofbronx, Riton, L-Vis 1990 or Man Like Me. In June 2010 he’s starting the new night Get Wavey at Magnet club with stylish mix of uk funky, tropical and post-dubstep. Every Wednesday – Finckobot, Mike Genius and Tvyks bundle their expertise as next level DJ team residents 3.0. Sometimes with special guests (Kingdom, Girl Unit, Dubbel Dutch, Nguzunguzu, Edu K, Brenmar, Drop The Lime…) or just exclusively the Trio Infernale doubles Berlin’s bass on a weekly cycle.
A generous host renowned for his inimitable fashion style, a dexterous DJ with 18 years of experience behind the decks, an accomplished producer and a forward-thinking person with an eye on the next big thing – Tvyks is all this and more. His recent move to the electronic music capital Berlin might mean we will hear more about this multifacetted and open-minded artist. Watch out!

Tvyks se během své 18 leté kariéry stal nepřehlénutelnou osobou, a to nejen ve světě Djingu a produkce. Vedle nich se věnuje mj. moderování v rádiu, grafickému designu, nebo pořádání vlastních akcí.
Je spoluzakladatel pražských mejdanů Vibrator, Muffin, Muffin!, Plastique a Boom Bang Baby!, které svojí energií dostanou do klubu i ty největší lenochy ze všech, a které se především díky své unikátní atmosféře staly druhým domovem pro kapely a live acty jako jsou např. Zinc, Ramadanman/Pearson Sounds, Seiji, Melé, Sam Tiba, Zombie Nation, Drop The Lime, Boy 8-Bit, Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, D.I.M., Mixhell, Headman, Rex The Dog, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Adam Sky, Huoratron, Bunny Lake, Naive New Beaters, Vicarious Bliss, Jo Jo De Freq, Franz & Shape nebo Namosh.
Jeho spolupráce se švédským producentem Hakanem Lidbo vyústila v roce 2002 ve vydání 12” singlu “Norr/Vychod” na světově proslulém labelu Paperecordings.
Vedle pořadu Vibrator, vysílaném na pražském Radiu 1, se Tvyks v poslední době věnuje hlavně vlastní tvorbě (remixy James Blake, Lo-Fi-Fnk, Zombie Nation, Riva Starr, Ku Bo, Z-Kat) a má za sebou i úspěšné spolupráce s projektem Reply! nebo V!, společně dali dohromady pěknou řádku remixů pro Digitalism, Dance Area, Cassius, Love Motel, Trip Fontaine, Dead Kids, The Kilians, Midi Lidi, Kazety nebo The Uniques.
V současnosti je jeho domovským městem multikulturní Berlín. Pro klub Magnet připravoval do jara 2010 program noci Kiss Me! I’m Electric, kde se mezi hosty objevili Proxy, Toddla T, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Schlachthofbronx, Riton, L-Vis 1990 nebo Man Like Me. A od června 2010 ve stejném klubu společně s berlínskými kolegy Finckobotem a Mike Geniusem pořádají pravidelné středeční parties Get Wavey. I za tu krátkou dobu se mezi hosty už objevilo několik zásadních jmen jako Drop The Lime, Kingdom, Girl Unit, Dubbel Dutch, Nguzunguzu, Edu K, Solo nebo AC Slater.
Navíc na podzim 2010 vydal na labelu Meanbucket Music své debutové “From Prague To Berlin” EP, které bylo na jaře 2011 doplněno remixovou edicí, na níž se podíleli Chrissy Murderbot, So Shifty, Bad Mojo, Embryo a Big Dope P & Mr. Mozaphanka.
Jako DJ Tvyks už rozparádil nejedno publikum v celé Evropě. Rozhodně není DJem jednoho žánru – každý jeho mix je sestaven z toho nejžhavějšího a nejčerstvějšího, co se v současnosti děje na světové hudební scéně, což nejlépe vystihuje termín global bass. Výsledkem jsou přesné mixy a energická koláž zvuků, jež vám rozvibruje celé tělo.
